Crosswind Paddle Company members Alex Soulas (right) and Colin Wilkinson (left) discovered the amazing sport of Stand Up Paddleboarding back in 2015 and got their start paddling out on the James River in Richmond. Since then, paddleboarding has truly become a passion and lifestyle for them. During the paddle season, they enjoy participating in regional paddleboard racing events and exploring new paddle destinations throughout the Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, and Caribbean. Having been positively influenced by the sport, they decided to bring the excitement of racing and the joy of touring back to their hometown. Crosswind Paddle’s ‘Adventure Tours’ and their annual paddlesports event, the ‘Richmond Paddle Cup’, have become staples for the local paddlers here in Richmond. Crosswind Paddle Company was created to provide the community with a healthy, fun and active way to experience life out on the water.
